The war Russia is waging in Ukraine has affected not only Ukrainians but foreign students studying in the country’s universities.
A video that has surfaced online, shows a group of Ghanaian students in Ukraine taking refuge in an underground basement.
The basement is understood to shield them from the bombardment currently ongoing in several cities in Ukraine perpetuated by Russia.
The government of Ghana is still working on an evacuation plan and the ministry of foreign affairs and regional integration released a statement yesterday calling on Ghanaian citizens in Ukraine to take cover while waiting for evacuation.
